So Donk has begun his work ups in preparation for deploying in March. He left on Saturday for sunny & warm (insert sarcastic snicker here) Fallon, NV. Me, here on the homefront, is already caring for my 3rd sick kid. NO, seriously. AND, that does not count Sullivan pulling the dresser down on top of him this morning. It's a good thing he and Sophia had recently broken 2 of the 3 drawers, otherwise he may have been seriously hurt when I lifted the dresser off of his back. Small blessings, huh? That's me, a "glass half full" kinda girl, HAHAHAHA!
The nap thing is seriously becoming a thing of the past. So, my days really are solely consisting of 14 straight hours of pulling the Twinnies out from under the dining room table (their Secret Hideout of choice) with whatever purloined goods they've procured clenched in Sassy's super-duper clenched fist. These treasured items have included yogurt (being eaten with a nutcracker cheese spreader), Lysol Anywhere Hard Surface Spray (they can open babylocks; Sassy ruined a brand-new outfit), and of course, any errant videogame/controller/etc. left out by the Bigs.
So, after said 14 hours of chasing Frick & Frack... I mean blessed time bonding with my youngest, I'm not getting to scrap much due to the couch calling my name. But, I do have a few things to share.
This first one was done with a Becky Fleck sketch for a Guest Design Team gig. We shall see...
This next one is a card I made for DH. I was doing a little Tips for Tools write-up for the AAS blog. I love my new Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. Check out the butterfly wings and the chipboard heart...
Be back in a few hours with some stuff using Studio Calico's January kit AND their new Homefront line available at a store near you. Or your favorite online retailer. Have to get some diet Coke to survive another day with my sick brood. TTFN.
