Six Years Ago and Ketchup

Six years ago this little Sassy Pants entered our world. Not quite sure how we got to this point, but she's 6! She had an amazing day filled with Pet Shop and scrapbooking goodness. We feel so blessed to have this little teenager-in-the-making in our lives. She's 110% attittude, yet we wouldn't change a thing. Happy Birthday Little Bit!

So many things to play catchup with. With Patrick's impending departure, the romantic bug bit him and he planned a surprise mini getaway for the 2 of us. Yep, just the TWO of us. We spent Valentine's Day at this wonderful B & B that I just adore. It was so cozy and the meals were scrumptious. It was so nice to be all tucked away from everything in this beautiful little room in a gorgeous building built in the 1700's. When our family travels, we require no less than 2 bedrooms plus a sitting area just to house all of us. So, this was indeed sweet and so very thoughtful and appreciated.
Here's the proof that we were indeed off and alone. Gasp!

Here's some pictures of the Twinnies in their February Finest.

The December Daily is now complete. A month, or two late, but done nonetheless. Ahh, I know I'll enjoy looking through this little snippet of our lives many times in the coming years.

More scrappy stuff next time...

I Want a Do Over

I mean it. If this weekend is any indication of what the next eight months are going to be like, I want a do over. Patrick was away on a Cross Country to Tampa this weekend. He was "House Hunting". Nope, we're not moving. Patrick got picked up for an IA beginning next month. He'll be working for Central Command for eight months traveling to God only knows where, while I man the homefront here in VA.

Alas, I digress. Back to the do over. I pride myself on handling things pretty well when he's away. Afterall, I should be used to it. I DO get plenty of practice. I never quite got into the groove this weekend between basketball games and birthday parties and all. I'm sure I'll get into my usual swing of things, once he heads out, right?!?
Would it be wrong to keep them corralled like this all summer...

And to add to this, my usually super easy Twinnies have officially entered the Terrible Two's Times 2. Yep, seriously. How do I manage this on top of my usual fun? Sullivan dropped a stack of Lenox dessert plates yesterday and Sophia can empty a DVD drawer of it's contents and pull out all the DVD's in 13 seconds flat. I am left to picking up the pieces left in their wake...(kitchen stool in the foyer).

I promised Valentines goodies. I made these for All About Scrapbooks and the mailbox was just some fun for me and the kiddos.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great Monday. I love Mondays. Is that wrong?

Is this thing on? Tap, tap, tap.

Yep. I did it. I finally succumbed to peer pressure and started a blog. I figured it would be a fun way to keep track of the goings on of our family zoo. If a friend, or 2 stops by, then that's just the cherry on top. Ya know?

We're crazy busy these days with school and other activities. Saturday morning was no exception. Patrick and I had the kiddos at basketball games and Cub Scouts simultaneously. Daddy manned the b-ball first thing since he's Coach. Before P.J. had his b-ball game he had the Pinewood Derby. He not only took first for his Wolf den, but he also took the whole shebang and won for his entire pack. Go P.J. (AND DADDY). I guess Daddy does know a thing or 2 about aerodynamics. Here's the proud boy with Daddy's car... oops, I mean HIS car.Wink.

On the scrappy side, my Sass Obsession goes on. I am having a problem NOT using Sassafras Lass products on each and every thing I make. I seriously can not wait until all three of the newest collections are available. I must have it all. Here's a layout I did recently while waiting for the new stuff to arrive...

Check back next time for some Valentine's Day goodies...
