My Very Own Pair of Bobbleheads

Just a quickie update tonight. It was another wild week around here. After yesterday's football games, we enjoyed a quieter day today. The crew hadn't gotten to bake recently, so we buckled down and got these Pumpkin Spice cookies done at nap time today. I must say, although they choose the cookies solely by the picture in the cookbook, P.J. made a great choice with these.

Just so that we don't forget Reagan in the harried Pop Warner days, thought I would include these pictures of Reagan taking in the activities. He has grown up so much this past year. Gone is the baby fat and the scribbles. Sigh... Love the one with him and the ref. I swear he was arguing a call...

Another Sass-lovin layout to share... Gotta love my Sass and my pink Cutterbees (for fussy cutting) and lots of Pop Dots. Talk to you soon...

"And the kicker ... for the rest of your life there will be so many moments when you feel lonely, but you will never be alone." Deperate quote of the Day.

I'll be back with some scrappiness later today, but I wanted Daddy and Geega and Dumpa to get to see this...

Meet Jesse the Farmer

I'm here! I'm here! Not quite sure what caused my absence from blogdom. I'm definitely getting back into the school routine. I'm enjoying my time with "just" the twinnies. Our morning errands and time in the backyard together. I'm REALLY enjoying nap time, for the first time since June. My house is actually quiet for three hours every week day!! Eeks! The silence is almost deafening some days, but I really do value it, not only to complete chores, but to re-charge ME. Something that just wasn't happening with the Fab five home all summer. I will admit that I am almost eager to start picking up the brood every afternoon.

Saints and cheerleading and football continue to consume our lives. Here are the twinnies enjoying the day. Our resident Cheerleader in Training and flirty Sullivan...

Our home backs up to some rich farm fields. We've always enjoyed watching the various crops that are grown here. It appeared to us city folk that the corn was going unpicked. Little did we know that it was not for human consumption, but for animal feed. How would I know this?!? Well, meet Farmer Jesse. He spied my Bigs peering over the fence as he was tending the field. He stopped and asked P.J. for a ride. P.J. asked Momma and I grabbed my camera and the big lens. Here are some shots I captured. They all got to ride and, don't tell the others, but P.J. even got to drive! Talk about a teachable moment for us!

Here's P.J. at the wheel...

Still scrappin just for fun this week. here's a peek... Mixed some new and older Sass here. Yumm.O.

Did this one with Scarlet Lime's September kit. love it!

A bit of this and that...

My sweet mail lady just braved the rain to bring me Sass prize package. Off to scrap abit. More on that later! And I'll post this month's Mosh Posh projects.

The Wipers on the Bus Go Swish, Swish, Swish

I know I'm six days and a dollar short, but #1 and #2 are Back to School. I'm happily getting back to my new routine. Reagan is enjoying going to school all day and the other Bigs are getting settled in their new classes. The twins scream bloody murder when I unload the kids in the morn, but they recover quickly enough when I let them loose in the backyard when we return home. Who would have thought that they would miss their siblings so?!? AND who would have thought that I would actually enjoy trying to get my house caught up after a summer of a full house and all of the dirt and messes that brings?!? This past weekend was filled with Pop Warner football games and lots of neighborhood kiddos. Good times.

Yep, the boy posed like this on his own. Nope, he has NO drama in him...

See... no drama here...

Here's the first grade beauty...

Lots of scrappin these days, too. There has to be some kind of reward for cleaning dirty kids' tubs, right?

I've finished up six layouts for Mosh Posh this month. I'm anxious to share them with you after tomorrow night's reveal. Love the new Sass Sweet Marmalade with the new Lily Bee. Ahh...

So Long Summer

It's bitter
sweet...

The Little Engine That Could

I feel soo torn. Torn between being thrilled to have the kids back in school and being bummed to have three kids in school all day for the very first time. While I will relish in grocery shopping with only the twinnies in tow, I am going to miss having the brood all to my self every day. Next year, I could have all 5 in school and that scares the cr** out of me. Patrick left in March and I can't get over how much each of the kids have changed while he's been gone. It really does happen just too quickly. I'm a wreck.

I'll miss my days filled with watching Camp Rock and the High School Musicals. Staying up late to watch the premiere of Wizards of WP, The Movie and eating pizza and having sleepovers. Listening to Disney Radio on XM and groaning when the Hodown Showdown song plays, but singing it to myself for the rest of the day. Rocking out to Boom Boom Pow on my ipod in my bus and turning down the sound during the bad words. I'm going to miss breakfast for dinner (brinner) and Pizza Rolls at lunch (I can't rationalize making those for the twins and Me). I'm going to miss the noise and the messes and refolding the blankies used for cuddling on the couches 100's of times a day. I'm going to miss it all.

Saturday's are now Pop Warner days. We spent six hours on the field. Julia was a delight to watch on the sidelines. Can't wait til their ridiculously priced real uniforms arrive...

She has two best friends. You met the first one on my last post and here is the other. Yes, she cheers for his team! Aww....

I was even MORE tired than this...

And here's My P.J. and "his" wedge play. That's him in front carrying his team, literally...

In scrappy news, I'm anxious to dig into Mosh Posh's September kit. Stay tuned for that soon! Here's another 2-pager. Had some fun including the packaging from some Primas too. Thanks for listening. What are YOU going to miss from the summer days?

99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall

Five weeks from tomorrow I will no longer be playing a harried, crazy single momma. Patrick will be home from his ia at Central Command. Somehow, General P will have to do without. I mean, c'mon, we had to do it for seven months. Shortly after his return, I'm sure I'll be begging for him to head out again. You know how they drive you crazy when they come home, sweep the kiddos off their collective feet AND muck up your routine!!

#1 and #2 go back to school in a week. Yep, I'm that mom. The kind who numbers her kids. That will leave me with my mornings to run errands with JUST 2 of the brood in tow. Until then, our evenings are still filled with cheer and ba ball (as Sullivan says) practices. I spend said evenings running between the 2 locales trying to keep up with the new cheers and staying on top of P.J.'s tackling skills AND chasing these two...

Most nights they win. Oh well. Julia tried on three dresses before we headed out the door to her friend's birthday party. Is this really a peek into what life with her as a teenager will be?!?? They do look really cute together though, don't they?
Sassafras Lass was having a Warehouse Sale a couple weeks ago. I snatched up Box B. It's filled with $125 dollars worth of older and newer Sass goodies. All this for $50 plus shipping. I'm in love...

How can anyone not LOVE this stuff? Ahh, bliss. Here's a peek at yet another Sass lovin layout. Love these pix I took of me and our resident pirate on Reagan's fourth birthday. He says this to me daily, repeatedly. "I love you everyday". Thanks for listening...
